NOVEMBER: THE LAST LORDS OF ELDORADO This collectible picture is a combination of ideas from my story 'The Last Lord of Eldorado' ('Eldoradon viimeinen valtias', AA 5-6/98), which I drew as a sequel for two adventures: the Barks story 'Gilded Man' ('Aku Ankka ja punainen postimerkki', 'Juhlasarjat 10') and my own story 'Treasure under Glass' ('Aarre lasimaljassa', 'Sammon salaisuus'). The ducks use the map they found in my story to find Eldorado, the lost gold city of the 'Gilded Man', which is the core of the old Barks classic. In one part the story the ducks are travelling to the Andes with a big truck - so I drew a truck used for the same purpose from a classic French adventure film 'Fear's reward' ('Le Salaire de la Peur') from 1953.
