Don Rosa's comments: DECEMBER: A LETTER TO SANTA Unless you have read the old Barks-story 'A Letter to Santa' ('Kirje joulupukille', AA 49-51/85), this collage may require a bit of an explanation. It is a classic story that appeared in the #1 issue of American 'Christmas Parade'. There Donald and $crooge forgot to mail a letter from DH&L and to make up for this they dress up as Santas. That explains the somewhat human-like fake noses. And to this calendar picture I had to fit in the fight of the steam shovels, which is one of the most famous scenes of the entire Barks history!
