Biography:
Blackheart Beagle and his three sons, apparently the grandfather and fathers of the current Beagle Boys, appeared in The Fantastic River Race by Carl Barks, a story set in the past. In another story The Money Well (set in the present) Barks mentions a "Grandpa Beagle" with the convict number 186-802. In Lo$ Don Rosa shows that Blackheart Beagle and Grandpa Beagle are the same person.
In Lo$, part 2 The master of the Mississippi, Don Rosa show Uncle Scrooges first meeting with the Beagle Boys in 1880. At that time Blackheart Beagle and his three sons were feared river-pirates on the Mississippi.
When Scrooge met The Beagle Boys again in 1902 they had moved to Duckburg. In "A Little Something Special" Don Rosa shows that in 1952 Blackheart Beagle is the brain behind an "unholy" alliance between The Beagle Boys, Magica De Spell and Flintheart Glomgold,to break Scrooge. But as always, also that plan failed.
