    Interesting facts:

This story was done after a friendly request from the redaction of the Norwegian Donald Duck & Co.

After this story was first published in Europe the Swedish translator Stefan Diös kindly notified Don Rosa that he had made a goof and had Marco Polo visiting the Library 50 years before he was even born. Due to this Don Rosa made some minor changes to this story. This later version was the one published in the USA.

This story wasn't published in Sweden until 5 years after it was published in Norway and Denmark because extra magazines for some reason are very seldom enclosed with KA&Co. Due to this delay the Swedish publisher used the later version of the story.

Go to AC Sivebæk's The two worlds of Don Rosa to see the extra panels which was added to the US-version of this story.
