Scrooge, HD&L and Donald go to Turkey in search for the treasury of the ancient king Coresus.

Interesting facts:

Don Rosa says: "I've had this adventure about the search for the treasury of Croesus, arguably the most famous treasure that $crooge never found in any story by Barks (but one that even Barks showed him longing for 'way back in "Back to Long Ago"), in my notes for 8 years before it was finally done. The result was fairly good, but didn't reach the standards of 'Son of the Sun'".

In contrary to the normal standards the serialized version of this story was published in the USA while the single-part version was published in many European countries like in Norway and Denmark.

Go to AC Sivebæk's The two worlds of Don Rosa to see the difference between the two versions of this story.
