Interesting facts:

|
This story is based upon the sci-fi movie "The Incredible Shrinking Man" from 1957.

Disney refused to allow this story to appear in the US without several dozen panels being deleted (totalling 2-3 pages of the story). These panels deal with:
A) a flea on a Beagle Boy.
B) a prune in a Beagle Boys pocket.
C) a Beagle Boy sneezing.
D) a Beagle Boy scratching his head because of the before-mentioned flea.
The reason for this is that these panels deal with *personal hygiene* and that's considered *politically incorrect* by Disney in the US.

Don Rosa added an extra page for the US-edition (placed in between panels 4 and 5 on page 20 in the original version). Go to AC Sivebæk's The two worlds of Don Rosa to see the extra page of panels Don Rosa did for the US-edition.

The complete 25-page single-part version was first published in the German album series "Onkel Dagobert von Don Rosa" in 1998, though with a poor print-quality on the extra panels for page 20 and 21. In November 2006 the complete version was also finally published in USA by Gemstone.

Go to AC Sivebæk's The two worlds of Don Rosa to see the difference between the two versions of this story.
