Their method is to arrange a false contest where everybody in Duckburg is invited to find the gift Scrooge would appreciate the most. A part of the arrangement is a large free party for everyone in Duckburg. This is supposed to keep Scrooge away from the Money Bin so that his money could be easier stolen. With good help from his family Scrooges eventually manages to stop the attack. In the end Glittering Goldie turns up in the Money Bin and gives scrooge the most appreciated gift. Interesting facts: Don Rosa thought that pages 19-22 of the original version got too cramped, so for the US-version he added one page worth of panels to those pages.
