Arpin Lusène (a.k.a. "Le chevalier noir" appears in Duckburg in order to make people think he has stolen Scrooge's fortune, a deed he believes will give ham the reputations as the greatest thief ever. In Scrooge's trophy room Lusène finds the universal solvent which he uses in his next attack on the Money Bin.

This story is actually based on parts of an old Pertwillaby Papers story called "Knighttime".

From this story on Don Rosa was allowed to let the serial versions contain of 2*12 pages instead of 3*8 pages.
