Scrooge and his nephews go to Arizona to search for a lost gold-mine once discovered by the "Dutchman" Jakob Waltz. When the map is lost they have to trust Donald's eye for details. But that's not their only problem - a cruel bandit is secretly following them...

This story is partly inspired by two of the classic albums about Lieutenant Mike Blueberry (La Mine de l'Allemand perdu (The Lost Dutchman's Mine) (1972) and Le Spectre aux balles d'or (The Ghost with the Golden Bullets) (1972). Both albums written by Jean-Michel Charlier and drawn by Jean "Moebius" Giraud, both famous Franch artists.
